The enterprise may use an auxiliary business name to carry on a part of its activities. In limited liability companies and cooperatives auxiliary business names can be adopted by the decision of the Board of Directors. When an auxiliary business name is registered in the trade register the area of business conducted with the auxiliary business name must also be stated. Auxiliary business names must not include any corporate identifier. Notification of auxiliary business names in the trade register is not compulsory. A separate handling fee of 60 Euro per name must be paid for each auxiliary business name registered in the trade register.

If an enterprise wishes to register auxiliary business names, the names must be given in the trade register notification forms, even if the decision of the Board of Directors is attached to the form.
