The business name may have parallel business names in different languages, which are translations of the business name in Finnish or Swedish. The content of the names must be comparable in different languages. Both the actual business name and the auxiliary business names may have parallel business names.

The parallel business names of a general partnership and a limited partnership must be included in the partnership agreement and the parallel business names of limited liability companies in the Articles of Association. The parallel business names of a cooperative must be included in the rules of the cooperative. Decisions concerning the parallel business names of an auxiliary business name may be made on the same level as decisions concerning the auxiliary business name.

If an applicant wishes to register parallel business names for the enterprise, the names must be included in the trade register notification forms, even if they are included in the partnership agreement.
