A company must submit a notification of amendment to the Trade Register if the information entered in the register changes. The valid information in the Trade Register should be checked before submitting a notification of amendment.
A notification of amendment can also be used to submit changes only applicable to the Tax Administration. These include entries in VAT, employer and preliminary tax withholding registers or deletion from the register upon termination of business. A “Y form”, available for filling in and printing out in the ytj.fi online service, can be used as the notification of amendment. The form to be used for the notification of amendment depends on the type of company. A company’s address and contact information can be notified electronically.
Submit electronic notifications
Through the YTJ online service, you can submit notifications of amendment concerning a company’s address and contact information to both the National Board of Patents and Registration (PRH) and the Tax Administration. The notification is free of charge.
Note! Persons who have been entered in the Trade Register (e.g. managing director and board members) and whose personal identity number has been notified as Trade Register information in conjunction with the title are not required to file a separate notification of amendment to the Trade Register when an address changes, as this information is updated via the Population Register Centre.
